I have 3 kids, all in the high school phase now. I share my home with a pug called Mr Chew Chew who IS the best dog in the world! And also Angus and Sid my cats. I have a very old rabbit too, Bunsie seems to have been around for ever! I have always been creative and love art of all types. If I see something I admire my next thought is I could make that! I taught myself to make stained glass panels then moved on to glass mosiac. I have always been pretty good at drawing and sketching. I think that runs in my family. Of course I love to sew and have just bought a janome 6600 which does pretty much everything....which leads me to quilt making which I also enjoy.
Two years ago I met a lovely Aussie girl who very kindly sharely her expertise with me in making cloth dolls. I was partically taken with Vennas Mercantile designs. So I have been recreating Kim Kohlers designs for sometime now. Shes also a very lovely person too!
I sell my dolls on ebay.I really had to! I was running out of space!
I am lucky enough to live in a charming old farmhouse in the aberdeenshire region of Scotland. Its not home to me, but its a beautiful place to live. I need to be in the country surrounded by flora and fauna. City live is def not for me!
Whats next ? Well I am intrigued by the paperclay dolls and I think thats next on my list.....Watch this space!
